Audacity isn’t jumping off a cliff and wondering how you’re going to catch yourself on the branches. No, anyone can do that, and the results are rarely encouraging. Some people think they ‘ re daring because they dare to make rash, surprising moves which, with a bit of luck, sometimes succeed. But that’s still notaudacity.
So, what is audacity?
Boldness starts with the ability to think outside the box, to dare to tease our habits, to question our purring ways, to raise our heads and give ourselves the opportunity to take a different approach.
Thinking for yourself is the beginning of daring.
Because if we think differently, we act differently.
Action comes after analysis, it’s not rushed, in short, it’s not jumping off the cliff!
Les rencontres Audacieuses” Interviews
It’s hard to define audacity.
That’s why we interview people who have been bold in their lives.
And because the aim of these interviews is to create value, we compare the ideas of different people: entrepreneurs, managers, executives, sportsmen and women, artists…
It’s an opportunity for two personalities to exchange views on this notion, which is often misunderstood because it’s not well known.
Each quarter, we feature a cross-industry interview. Watch the first three episodes below
Episode 1: Maïder Arosteguy, Mayor of Biarritz and Éric Courteille, Co-President of La Redoute
Episode 2: Guillaume De Blic CEO at Lacoste Europe and Thomas Chambolle co-founder of Fulllife
Episode 3: Marie-Hélène Blanque General Manager of Semetherm Développement and Manuel Mallen General Manager of Maison Courbet
Einstein said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. Boldness is acting differently, because we allow ourselves the time to think differently. In the end, it’s not a question of luck…
